PROTECTO-COAT XP DECORATIVE ABOVE GRADE THERMO PANEL
The Protecto-Coat XP system is designed with durability, longevity, and appearance in mind. Protecto-Coat XP is a revolutionary above grade thermo panel that makes insulating the exterior of the foundation effortless! Protecto-Coat XP has many different application possibilities. However, the most common is to be installed above the below grade exterior foundation insulation. At the point that our crew arrives at your job site to install the XP the waterproofing and below grade insulation has already been done. The site is prepared by assuring that the XP will be installed from 6" below grade to the top of the foundation.
The Protecto-Coat XP is fastened to the foundation with both adhesive and washer nails. Your construction can remain the same with the addition of a drip cap that runs out beyond the insulation by ¼"+ and down the insulation a 1 ½". This allows for a smooth transition with no unsightly gaps.
Joints, seems and washer heads are filled with a joint filler. A natural stone is then broadcasted into it for a seamless application. Corners are treated with XP galvanized angle for extra strength and a dressed up appearance.
The end result is a system that is aesthetically pleasing and will stand up to abuse from weed whips, animals and weather.
Protecto-Coat XP is an above grade insulation thermo panel protection system that will stand the toughest test of all: time! Protecto-Coat XP is exclusively installed by only certified applicators. There are no temperature limitations and does have many diverse applications. Contractors are dressing up the interior side of egress windows wells in addition to the above grade exposed areas of the foundation. Siding contractors are also using XP to aid in a complete appearance makeover in existing construction. A good termination, such as a drip cap, is required. The color is tan, however, it can be painted with any color exterior latex paint.
The Protecto-Coat XP Thermo Panel is a revolutionary system that making exterior foundation insulation easy! Other systems are thin, brittle and easily damaged. A tape adhered mesh is commonly used which will delaminate, serving no purpose.
